Nearly two years back, Instagram presented a truly helpful function to the app: the ability to upload several photographs at the same time, allowing your fans browse through them by swiping on a carousel of images. It was a solution to Instagram users who often spam their account with 5 to 8 photographs at a time. The downside is Instagram limits this photograph carousels functions to only its advertisers. Now, the good news is the company stated that it may bring the function to normal users on Android and iOS.
How the Instagram carousel works
As part of upgrade 10.9, for iOS and Android, you will have the choice to choose and upload as much as 10 photographs and videos from an event or your vacation. Therefore, followers can swipe through all your photographs in just one Instagram post. This resembles how galleries and carousels on Facebook work.
With this function, Instagram suggests a variety of fun and engaging usages. It can be a recording of each phase during a surprise birthday party to revealing the steps of your culinary ideas.
To produce a carousel, you tap a brand-new icon that imitates a photo stack. From there, you pick the photographs and videos you desire to include them into the carousel. To change the order, you can simply do so by tap, hold and drag gestures. You can edit your pictures and videos separately or as a group. You only can include one caption and area tag for your post. As for the Likes and comments, there are consolidated under a total post.
You will know that you are seeing a carousel in the feed when you see a blue ellipsis (…) at the bottom of the post. To see the rest of the photographs, simply start swiping.
