Owners of Amazon Echo and other Alexa-enabled gadgets can now utilise the Starbucks Reorder ability to order coffee, the business revealed.
To make orders, customers should produce a Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay account so orders are predetermined and spent for prior to going into a regional Starbucks location. Select users of the Starbucks iOS app might also utilise their voice to make orders.
To use the Starbucks Reorder skill, go to the Alexa Skills Marketplace or say “Alexa, enable the Starbucks Reorder skill.” Once the ability and the Mobile Order and Pay account are linked, all you need to do tell Alexa is “Alexa, inform Starbucks to begin my usual order.”
This is Starbuck’s 2nd recent venture into conversational commerce, following the launch of the My Starbucks barista chatbot for the Starbucks app last month.
Starbucks was in the news earlier when CEO Howard Schultz vowed to hire 10,000 refugees following executive orders by President Donald Trump to prohibit the citizens of 7 primarily Muslim countries in the Middle East and Africa.
